Premio "Electronics 2020 Best Paper Awards"
Apprendiamo con piacere che l' "Electronic 2020 Best Paper Award" per il miglior articolo del 2020 della rivista internazionale "Electronics" è stato assegnato ad un lavoro frutto della collaborazione tra il DICEA ed il Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Università Parthenope di Napoli. Il lavoro: "Assessment of Dual Frequency GNSS Observations from a Xiaomi Mi 8 Android Smartphone and Positioning Performance Analysis" ha illustrato un' innovativa tecnica per ottenere posizionamenti di grande accuratezza con dispositivi a basso costo. Lo stesso lavoro era già stato premiato nel gennaio 2020 dal sito Web of Science come "Top cited paper" per essere risultato nell' 1% degli articoli più citati nel field "Engineering". Agli autori Umberto Robustelli, Valerio Baiocchi e Giovanni Pugliano è stato assegnato un premio in denaro e l'invito a pubblicare un nuovo contributo sulla stessa rivista che sosterrà i costi per la pubblicazione in "open access".
We are pleased to announce that the "Electronic 2020 Best Paper Award" for the best paper of 2020 from the international journal "Electronics" has been assigned to a paper resulting from the collaboration between DICEA and the Department of Engineering of the Parthenope University of Naples. The paper: "Assessment of Dual Frequency GNSS Observations from a Xiaomi Mi 8 Android Smartphone and Positioning Performance Analysis" illustrated an innovative technique to obtain high accuracy positioning with low cost devices. The same work had already been awarded in January 2020 by the Web of Science as "Top cited paper" for being in the top 1% of the most cited articles in the field "Engineering". Authors Umberto Robustelli, Valerio Baiocchi and Giovanni Pugliano were awarded a cash prize and an invitation to publish a new paper in the same journal, which will bear the costs of open access publication.
