DICEA, the Department of Civil, Constructional and Environmental Engineeering, was founded in 2010 following a merger of the departments of Architecture and Urban Planning,  Hydraulics, and Transportation and Roads. In keeping with tradition DICEA  ensures scientific excellence and quality education in all brances of  architectural design and urban planning, and civil and environmental engineering.

 DICEA is a member of  the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering.

 DICEA  receives funding from the EU, the Ministry of Education, University and Research, and other agency and government bodies.  DICEA actively promotes and develops training activities, offers research and consultancy services, through  contracts and agreements with institutions both in the  public and private sectors.
